Biography
I was born and raised in southern California. I received a bachelors degree in fine art from Brigham Young University
in Provo Utah and a master's degree in fine art from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena California. I currently
teach as an assistant professor in the architecture department at Pai Chai University in Daejeon South Korea.
I paint portraits of marginalized landscapes and architecture in an attempt to memorialize the overlooked, a process
which rehearses my search for the sublime in everyday experience. My work also explores the middle ground
between the descriptive and the suggestive, between the objectivity of perception and the subjectivity of memory.
